In today’s world, illicit actions such as corruption, firearms, cybercrime, terrorism, human trafficking and organized crime have gained major importance. With the advancements in technology, the impact of these actions has shown to be spreading all around the world. Governments have been constantly working for the prevention of these problems. Despite all these efforts, those actions are still continuous problems.
United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is a UN body which was established in 1997 with the association between The UN Drug Control Programme and The Centre for İnternational Crime Prevention. UNODC deals with the actions in all regions with the aim of eradicating illicit drugs and international crime. Its works mainly focus on the engagement between Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) and the aforementioned issues.
In this committee, delegates are expected to discuss and find applicable solutions for the effects of Boko Haram and organized crime globally.
