COP 30 - Accomplishing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the context of climate change
The United Nations Sustainable Development Summit was held on September 25th, 2015 in New York, which specifically addressed the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which was agreed on by all 193 of the United Nations Member States.
The Sustainable development goals are a part of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Ensuring that each member state does and will take action upon the global issues which are threatening to the living.
This year in HASALMUN, our main focus in the simulation of the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, is to address and to accomplish the global issues under the context of climate change. Climate Change began to become an exclusive threat in the late 19th century. The ozone layer being torn, formed a rapid and considerable amount of influence although this situation was a result of a long-running silent agreement of ignorance.
Climate change continues to hold a great importance in our current world. Are the precautions currently taken enough to protect the world? What can we do more to prevent the worst and unwanted outcome? This is what we will be taking a big leap into, but can the human race succeed in this challenge? We will see.
