San Francisco Conference (Sarp)
The San Francisco Conference, also known as United Nations Conference on International Organization (UNCIO) is the conference that resulted in the establishment of the United Nations on 25 April 1945.
50 allied states came together in San Francisco on April 25, 1945 and finalized the United Nations Charter, which consists of 111 articles. The treaty was accepted unanimously on 25 June 1945 and signed the next day. On 24 October 1945, with the approval of the five permanent members of the Security Council as well as the majority of other signatory states, the treaty entered into force and the United Nations was established.
However, the actions taken in the past are still open to discussion and debate. Delegates, you will all have the chance to reshape history this year in HASALMUN. What will the final outcome of the San Francisco Conference be? Will the San Francisco Conference establish a framework for sustainable solutions, or will it face criticism for temporary measures? From now on it all depends on you. We recommend you to not betray the whole world's trust in you.
